2nd Birthday Party Ideas: General Ideas

Throwing a second birthday party for your kid is an exciting time for any parents. When the kid is two years old he/she is mostly dependent on the parents for his/her needs and is attached to the parents. At this period the kids learn to walk.

The best thing to do on this day is to decorate the house with banners and balloons. Balloons should be of different colours. They should have happy birthday printed on them. You can get them easily in your local market. A big balloon should be hung at some distance from the cake. When the candles on the balloons are blown away somebody should blow the balloon. The banner should be pasted on the wall in front of the table where the cake would be cut. It should be visible to everybody. Second is to get themed paper plates, napkins, and cake. Candles should be placed on the cakes. You can also add the number two candle to the top of the cake. Some pictures of the birthday kid should be placed in the background.  It will also add a personal touch to it. 

We can keep this event simple with snack foods and a cake. We can also include ice cream and cold drinks.

The best time to start the party is either in the morning or in the evenings because most of the kids take a nap in the afternoon.

As the two years kid is not able to remember in the future about the events the best place to organise these parties is your home. At this point of time the kid has not the proper understanding. The decision depends on our budget and your willingness.

For the 2^nd Birthday Party it is advisable to invite your close friend and relatives. You can also invite some parents who have the kids of the same age so that your kid can interact with them. 

A 2^nd Birthday Party looks mechanical without a game being included. Some simple games can be included which will keep the small children busy. One of the games which include a big box filled with rolled paper cutting and small gifts which can be sweets or fruit wrapped up and hidden inside. The children come up one by one, take a dip inside the box. When they take out an item they are asked to unwrap it and see what they got. If a child got an empty paper it has to be kept at a different side. This game can be continued until the box is empty.  It creates a lot of fun in the party.

2^nd Birthday Party comes once in a parent life if they are not planning for another child so everything should be planned before. Planning is necessary to make it a memorable.
