Canadian Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving Day is celebrated to give thanks to God for what an individual has achieved in the past year and to welcome the New Year. In Canada people also thank God for a good harvest season. It is celebrated in Canada in October on second Monday annually before the close of the harvest season. It is a national holiday there. It is also observed in United States.

During harvest season churches are decorated with cornucopias, pumpkins, corn, and wheat sheaves. National anthem also sung during thanksgiving weekend. Football match is also played during thanksgiving weekend. Special thanksgiving ceremonies are also held during the harvest season. During thanksgiving weekend people spend time with their family.

Thanksgiving Day is an occasion to thanks our family, friends or individual whom we know have help us in any way. One of the best and effort less is to send them a thank you e-card.  We also have nice collection of Thank you e-cards. We also have a nice collection thanksgiving invitation. If you are organizing a thanksgiving event you can send invitation to the guests with a few clicks. Desievite is the portal which has an excellent collection of invitation and e-cards.
